Terms of Service for RollBook

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the RollBook mobile application (the “App” or “Service”), developed and operated by simplebuildapps (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) along with our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue all use of the Application.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction required to give valid consent) to use RollBook. If you are between the ages of 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By using RollBook, you warrant and represent that you have the full power, capacity, and authority to enter into and abide by these Terms.

3. Description of Service & Offline Architecture

RollBook is an offline-first student attendance tracking and timetable management tool for Android devices. Key functionalities provided include:

• Subject creation, timetable scheduling, and interval customizers.
• One-tap attendance check-in (Present, Absent, Cancelled, and Mass Bunk).
• Automated attendance threshold calculation (such as 75% target attendance calculators and risk alerts).
• Chronological attendance logs and status reset tracking.
• Local database backup (.bak file export/import) and optional user-authenticated Google Drive synchronization.

We reserve the right to modify, enhance, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time with or without prior notice.

4. User Data Ownership & Backup Responsibility

Your attendance data belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership rights over the course names, schedules, attendance entries, or student rosters you create in RollBook.

5. License & Permitted Use

Subject to your ongoing compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the RollBook mobile application on Android devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, educational, or internal organizational productivity purposes.

6. Prohibited Activities & Acceptable Use

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

• Decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or attempting to derive the source code of RollBook or its underlying algorithms.
• Modifying, translating, adapting, or creating derivative works of the application.
• Redistributing, selling, leasing, renting, sublicensing, or commercially exploiting the application without explicit prior written authorization.
• Bypassing, disabling, altering, or tampering with any security mechanisms, advertisement displays, or license verifications in the App.
• Using the application for any unlawful purpose, in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

7. Third-Party Integrations & Cloud Services

RollBook integrates with trusted third-party SDKs and APIs to provide advertising, optional cloud backup, and crash diagnostic services:

• Google Play Services: Core platform services for app distribution, updates, and in-app billing.
• Google Drive API: If you choose to enable cloud backup, RollBook communicates with Google Drive using Google OAuth to store your backup files in your personal cloud storage. Your interactions with Google Drive are governed by Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob: RollBook is supported by non-intrusive mobile banner and interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may utilize anonymous device identifiers in accordance with Google Advertising Policies.
• RevenueCat: Validates and manages in-app digital purchases and premium subscriptions across devices.

We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, policies, or actions of third-party platforms.

8. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases & Billing

If RollBook offers optional premium features, ad-free upgrades, or subscriptions, all financial transactions are processed securely through the Google Play Store in accordance with Google Play Billing policies.

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the current billing cycle through your Google Play account settings.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled according to Google Play refund guidelines. You may request a refund directly via your Google Play account order history.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ROLLBOOK IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM BUGS, VIRUSES, OR DATA LOSS. ATTENDANCE CALCULATIONS AND GOAL PROJECTIONS ARE OFFERED AS PRODUCTIVITY AIDS AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS OFFICIAL UNIVERSITY OR INSTITUTIONAL TRANSCRIPTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SIMPLEBUILDAPPS, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE MALFUNCTION, MISSED ACADEMIC DEADLINES, OR DISCIPLINARY ATTENDANCE PENALTIES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR INABILITY TO USE ROLLBOOK.

11. Intellectual Property

All rights, titles, and interests in and to RollBook, including its software code, UI designs, icons, brand logos, graphical assets, and text content, are and will remain the exclusive intellectual property of simplebuildapps. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use any trade names, trademarks, service marks, or logos of simplebuildapps without prior written permission.

12. Termination

You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the application and deleting all copies from your devices. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your license to use the application if you violate any provision of these Terms. Upon termination, all provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise and update these Terms from time to time. When updates are published, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of the application following the posting of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
